Moving In

Fall 2024 Move In: Friday, August 30 

What you need to move in:

  • A piece of government issued photo identification (driver's license, passport)
  • A move in appointment - Required sign up on the starting August 15

Please note that keys can only be issued to the student directly. 

Move in appointments: Sign up August 15 - 26

  1. Login to the
  2. Select "Manage my Housing"
  3. Select your Fall 2024 booking
  4. Select a move in appointment time

We encourage you to arrive on Friday, August 30 to get the most out of the start of your residence experience. We will have many staff and volunteers to help answer your questions and welcome you!

 

Move in steps for appointments on August 30 between 8:00am-5:00pm

Let's move in! Proceed to lot J, get your keys. Move in helpers must leave after 1.5 hours. Complete your room condition form and attend your first meeting with your Residence Advisor.

Move In

Students who need to move in after the official Move In Days due to travel must sign up for a late move in appointment by the deadline .You will be emailed with specific instructions for moving into residence based on the time slot you sign up for. You cannot move in without a pre-booked appointment.

Room assignments are communicated via email and StarRez prior to your move in date:

  • Fall session: In mid-August
  • Winter session only applicants: In mid-December
  • Summer session: One to two weeks prior to your move in date

Our partnership with  offers you the opportunity to pre-order your bedding and linens right to your residence room.

If you are moving in during move in weekend, order by August 18 and your bedding will be available for you when you arrive.

Each resident is required to complete a unit condition report verifying the condition of their residence room at move-in. This is an opportunity for students to identify and report any damaged or missing elements so that they can be fixed and to ensure that they are not held responsible for any damage they did not cause. This form must be completed within 1 business day moving in or your room will be deemed satisfactory.

If you find that anything is missing or damaged at move-in, or throughout the year, you should submit a Maintenance form on the StarRez Portal.
