CGPA, Grade Requirement, Course Enrolment, Tuition:

 

Students must achieve a minimum of C- (60%) in their Centennial College courses to pass and maintain standing in the program. In select courses, students must pass the practical component in addition to achieving the minimum C- (60%) in the class. Students must also maintain a cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of 2.0 or higher to remain in the program.

Please note: Centennial College does not follow the same schedule as UTSC. Centennial College releases the schedule for the upcoming semester 1-2 months prior to the semester start date. Students will be enrolled throughout the summer by the Joint Programs Coordinator. Enrolment can not take place until Centennial College issues a student ID by Mid-August. 
 

Note: Students are expected to pay their tuition and any incidental fees directly to UofT through Acorn regardless if they are at UTSC or at Centennial College.

 

Non-Academic Requirements:

  • Prior to taking courses at Centennial College, students must fill out a medical certificate and have current qualifications in CPR and standard first aid. Students must also pass Centennial's screening process (which includes attendance at an information session, medical certificate, Clear Criminal Record, minimum weight lifting requirement of 210lbs., completion of a CPR course in the past two years, completion of standard first aid courses). Students are strongly encouraged to be in the process of obtaining their class F Driver's License. This is a mandatory requirement for employment. See for complete details. Applicants may arrange to complete these requirements during the first year of their studies at the University of Toronto at Scarborough.
  • The appropriate forms will be distributed to students to verify the aforementioned information in the summer semester following their first year. Additional information will be received in their freshman package from Centennial College prior to starting the College portion of the program.   • Please note, students enrolled in the Paramedicine program must be fitted for an N95 mask or equivalent at their own cost. Safety helmets are required for participation in all field placements. Students must maintain their hair in a manner that does not interfere with the proper fit of safety helmets.  Without face mask fit certification, students cannot complete the requirements of the program.
  • Please note: it is the student鈥檚 responsibility to stay up to date on their immunizations. All immunization and non-medical documents must valid. If you have any questions, please contact placementrequirements@centennialcollege.ca

    The following immunization documents are needed:

  • Tuberculosis (TB) (may require 2-step/Mantoux test)

  • Measles, Mumps, Rubella (MMR)

  • Tetanus, Diptheria and Pertussis (TDaP)

  • Tetanus - booster/update every 10 years

  • Varicella

  • Polio

  • Hepatitis B

  •  Annual Influenza Vaccine 
  • COVID-19 Vaccine (min. 3 doses)

    A Pre-Placement Health form must be submitted, and the form must be completed by an MD designation. It is the student鈥檚 responsibility to review with a doctor that each page of the clinical pre-placement form has been properly completed.
