CGPA, Grade Requirement, Course Enrolment, tuition:
Students must achieve a minimum of C- (60%) in their Centennial College courses to pass and maintain standing in the program. In addition, students must maintain a cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of 2.0 or higher to remain in the program.
Please note: Centennial College does not follow the same schedule as UTSC. Centennial College releases the schedule for the upcoming semester 1-2 months prior to the semester start date. Students will be enrolled throughout the summer by the Joint Programs Coordinator. Enrolment can not take place until Centennial College issues a student ID by Mid-August.
Note: Students are expected to pay their tuition and any incidental fees directly to UofT through Acorn regardless if they are at UTSC or at Centennial College.
Guidelines for computer and software selection:
Students accepted in the Joint Program in Journalism are advised to purchase an industry standard laptop and obtain designated software and hardware.
Computer: 13-inch Apple MacBook Pro capable of running the current version of Adobe software.
Software: Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Powerpoint), 2010 or more recent version, and Adobe Photoshop (most recent version).
