Dear °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±½Ó¿Ú students,

Welcome to campus for 2024-25!  Whether it’s your first year at °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±½Ó¿Ú, or you have walked the Ma Moosh Ka Win Trail a few times as a returning student, we are excited to be a part of your academic journey at °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±½Ó¿Ú. We expect you’ll feel the excitement in the air, as well as some anxiety, associated with the beginning of the term. Know that we are here to support you to ensure that your experience is both academically rewarding and personally inspiring. 

To assist you along your pathways, I wanted to draw your attention to some of the on-campus resources available to you: 

  • Departmental staff and faculty are essential resources for you. Take advantage of office hours, and don’t hesitate to reach out to your instructor, or to your department, if you have any questions.  
  • The  offers an extensive selection of academic supports, including writing help and English language development, math and stats tutoring, as well as peer tutoring through Facilitated Study Groups (FSGs). 
  • Academic Advising & Career Centre Whether you are in your first year of university or preparing to graduate next June, the AACC is available to support you at every step along your journey.
  • Access many academic and co-curricular opportunities available to you using the Program Pathways tool to combine programs across disciplines. 
  • ´¡³¦³¦±ð²õ²õ´¡²ú¾±±ô¾±³Ù²â S±ð°ù±¹¾±³¦±ð²õ are available for those who may require additional support, and appropriate accommodation, because of a disability.  
  • Questions about financial aid, academic petitions, or time zone conflicts for exams? Connect with the  Registrar’s Office.  
  • The Office of Academic Integrity provides resources for students on the Academic Integrity Process, including do's and don'ts to help you avoid committing an offence.
  • University can be a challenging time. If you are in need of personal support, the  Health & Wellness Centre  offers access to confidential counselling, medical health promotion and education services.

We want to ensure that all members of our campus community thrive and experience a sense of belonging at °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±½Ó¿Ú. The UTSC Campus Curriculum Review Working Circle is made up of students, faculty and librarians, staff, and community partners committed to furthering our campus commitment to equity, anti-racism, Indigeneity and accessibility. We are eager to hear from students about your experiences. We welcome all perspectives, as we work collectively to implement the 56 recommended actions outlined in the UTSC Campus Curriculum Review Working Circle 2020-2022 Report. As the Vice-Dean Teaching, Learning & Undergraduate Programs, I’m looking very much forward to the coming year.
