Biography

Juhyun Park, Ph.D., will be joining the Department of Psychology and the Graduate Department of Psychological Clinical Science at the °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±½Ó¿Ú in July 2024. Dr. Park’s research examines cognitive-affective processes that confer risk for depression, anxiety, and co-occurring problems (e.g., substance use, mania), with a particular emphasis on emotion regulation and reward/threat sensitivity. Her research program also focuses on contextual factors (e.g., stress, family environment) that can shape, alter, and/or interact with these cognitive-affective processes. To capture these processes and contextual factors precisely and comprehensively, her research program employs multiple methodologies (e.g., experience sampling, clinical interviews, EEG, self-report, behavioral assessments) and advanced quantitative modeling (e.g., multilevel structural equation modeling, mixture modeling).
