Walter Tavares
Biography
Dr. Walter Tavares is an Assistant Professor in Health Professions and Practice in the Department of Health and Society and . He is also a Scientist with the Wilson Centre for Health Professions Education Research and York Region Paramedic Services in the Community Health Services Department, and Director of the . He is also founder and Chair of the – a research capacity development initiative. Dr. Tavares’ program of research aims to create advances in health professions education, including assessment and continuing professional development both at a conceptual and practice level. Second, is to contribute to community-based health and social services, especially where it includes advances in policy, science and practice of Paramedicine.
