Dr. Teenu Sanjeevan has been a Sessional Lecturer for the Department of Language Studies since September 2019 and has now expanded her role as an instructor for the Department of Health and Society. She completed her PhD in Speech-Language Pathology at the University of Toronto where she examined the parallels between motor, language, and cognitive abilities in children with Developmental Language Disorder.

Following her PhD, Dr. Sanjeevan completed a post-doctoral fellowship under the supervision of Dr. Evdokia Anagnostou at Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital in Toronto. Her post-doctoral research focused on identifying the shared neurobiological mechanisms underlying language and motor acquisition in neurotypical and neurodiverse pediatric populations including Autism Spectrum Disorder. Currently, Dr. Sanjeevan works as a Senior Program Manager, Neuroscience for the Weston Family Foundation, overseeing a portfolio of over 30 large-scale research studies conducted across Canada focusing on the development of therapeutics and tools to prevent, treat or diagnose neurodegenerative diseases of aging including Alzheimer's Disease and Parkinson's Disease.
