Join us for the first of this semester's Allied Health Professions Speaker Series. We are pleased to announce Social Worker and UTSC alumni Shainah Adolphe will be sharing a day in her work life as well as giving insights to students about careers in the field.

Speakers

Shainah Adolphe (she/her) holds a Master鈥檚 in Social Work with a focus on Mental Health and Health from the University of Toronto, and an Honours Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Integrative Biology, also from the University of Toronto. Additionally, she earned a Bachelor of Applied Science in Public Health and Safety from Toronto Metropolitan University. As a registered Social Worker and community researcher, she explores the healthcare experiences of Black communities in Canada. She works with the AYA Circle of Care at TAIBU Community Health Center, supporting African, Caribbean, and Black individuals affected by or at risk of HIV, and serves as a research assistant at the Black Health Equity Lab. She has held roles in several other industries including banking, insurance, and technology. Shainah鈥檚 interests lie in addressing health inequities impacting the wellbeing of Black communities and expanding access to culturally relevant health programming
