As an international student, you are responsible to obtain and maintain valid immigration and travel documents to study and work in Canada. You should never let your documents expire. Certified immigration advisors at the International Student Center (ISC) are happy to help you with your legal documents and Canadian immigration inquiries. If you have questions about:

  • Study Permit
  • Temporary Resident Visa (TRV)
  • Electronic Travel Authorization (e-TA)
  • On and off-campus employment
  • Co-op Work Permit
  • Post-Graduation Work Permit (PGWP)
  • Social Insurance Number (SIN)
  • Maintaining eligibility to work and study in Canada
  • Lost or stolen legal documents
  • Canadian permanent residency and citizenship

Booking Advising Appointments:

Immigration and Transition advising appointments is now accessible through鈥疐olio: 

To book an in-person, or online appointment with an ISC advisor through : 

  1. Login to鈥  

  2. Click the 鈥淎辫辫辞颈苍迟尘别苍迟蝉鈥 button in the 鈥淔ind what you want here鈥 section.  

  3.  Filter for 鈥渋mmigration鈥 or  鈥渢ransition鈥 according to type of your inquiry in the 鈥What would you like to talk about?鈥 filter bar.  

  4. Select the most relevant topic for your inquiry. A calendar will open with days where there are available appointments indicated.  

  5. Choose your preferred day. A list of available appointments will appear.  

  6. Select your preferred appointment. Review the details included.  

  7. Select your preferred format (below the details) then click 鈥淏ook鈥.  

  8. You will receive a booking confirmation email which includes the time, location for the meeting. 

  9. Complete and submit the ISC-Intake form in the confirmation email.    

Tips: 

  • If you are an admitted or current U of T student and cannot log into FOLIO, please email the Folio Amin鈥痜or assistance. If necessary, you can send an appointment request by email.  Please use your U of T email address and provide: 

    • Your student # and UTORid 

    • Your citizenship and current location (inside or outside Canada) 

    • The expiry dates of your immigration documents 

    • Your current year and program of study

  • If you can no longer attend the appointment you booked, please cancel it as soon as possible to allow another student to book it.
