While you鈥檙e studying or working at a university in Ontario, you must have insurance for health care and medical treatments. Without insurance, you would have to pay for any medical services or treatments you need from your own savings 鈥 and it could be very expensive.
The University Health Insurance Plan (UHIP) is designed to provide you with affordable basic health insurance, so you can focus on your studies or employment and not your medical expenses.
