Before Renewing Your Application

  • If your club was recognized in the previous academic year (2023-2024), your club will need to be renew their club recognition for the 2024-2025 academic year. 
  • Review the sessional dates and requirements of becoming recognized at the UTSC campus.
  • Ensure that you and your club members have drafted and/or updated the club constitution. A copy of the constitution template and instructions on making amendments to your constitution can be found here, See constitution template
  • All applications to become a recognized student organization (club) at the °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±½Ó¿Ú campus must be submitted online through the central .

Club Renewal Requirements and Timelines

1Update your constitutionIf there are changes to be made to your club’s constitution, please ensure you make them before applying.Within the renewal approval period. Please review the dates above.
2Ensure that you have the updated contact information for your club’s executive membersPlease ensure that you collect the contact information (Name, Email and Phone Number) of your club members for the 2024-2025 year, as you will need to input this information in your online application.Between the renewal approval period. 3Apply on SOPTo become a recognized student organization at the UTSC campus, groups must apply through the online portal and ensure that they review the approval period timeline.The online application takes 10-15 minutes to complete and must be submitted within the approval period. Please review the dates above.
4Attend Mandatory Orientation WorkshopIn order to book spaces on campus and complete the recognition process, your club will need at least two executives to attend Campus Groups Orientation. The next few orientations are as follows: , and .Campus Groups Orientation workshops run on a regular basis from July 2024 – October 2024 and from January 2025 – February 20
4Constitution and Application ReviewOnce your club has submitted the application and attended the workshop, our office will review your constitution and application. If your club constitution requires amendments, a staff member will contact the Primary Contact by email.
Our office will review your application and contact you within 5 business days of submission.
 
5Receive ApprovalOnce your constitution has no further amendments, your club will be approved. You will be able to see the status of your application through the SOP portal.
