Purpose

The Franco Vaccarino UTSC Graduate Scholarship is named in honour of Professor Franco Vaccarino, who was the Vice-President and 9th Principal of the 澳门六合彩开奖接口. The scholarship will be awarded to first-year research Master's or Doctoral students whose graduate research is based at UTSC. Applicants will be evaluated on academic merit, experiential university-based contributions, and demonstrated success in areas outside academia.

Value

One-time award of $2,500.00

Eligibility to Apply

  1. Full-time domestic or international student.
  2. Registered in the first year of either a Research Master's or Doctoral Program. Professional programs are not eligible.
  3. Eligible students must be UTSC Affiliated and their graduate research must be based at UTSC.

Selection Criteria

  1. Academic Merit
  2. Experiential University-based contributions (includes undergraduate or graduate research, Field Courses, Clinical Placements, Internships, Practicums, Co-op placements, Studies Abroad and Community-Engaged learning within a credit course)
  3. Demonstrated success or impact in areas outside of academia (e.g.  sports, arts, music, social enterprise)

Application Process

The application package must include the following:

  1. Completed Franco Vaccarino Graduate Scholarship's application form
  2. CV (curriculum vitae)
  3. Scanned transcripts (a scanned copy of original transcripts or a screen capture from the institution's student web service, are acceptable)

Please provide the requested documentation as one file using the following naming convention: FirstLastName_FV2024-25

The completed Franco Vaccarino UTSC Graduate Scholarship application package should be uploaded to the by October 2, 2024 (5 PM). Please ensure you are logged in using your U of T email and password for access. The dropbox is a secure SharePoint folder allowing the Graduate and Postdoc unit to streamline award collection. Each applicant will only be able to view their own uploaded documents and not those of any other applicants. 

Results

All applicants will be notified of the results via e-mail in November.
