Course Name: Black Canadian Literature

Course Description: In this course we will explore the Black experience in Canada through the eyes of Black youth and young adults. Students will have the opportunity to read works by both established authors and by the newest generation of Black Canadian writers, including short stories by UTSC alum T茅a Mutonji; a graphic novel by Wayde Compton; an autobiographical exploration of campus life by Eternity Martis, and a novel about growing up in Scarborough by David Chariandy.
