Explore the fundamental question of how we ought to act, with a focus on the unique moral and legal problems that emerge in medical decision-making, health-care policy and biotechnology. We offer a suite of specific courses in biomedical ethics, which cover a range of topics including political philosophy, death and dying, social issues and philosophy of law.  

You’ll take a progression of biomedical ethics courses from your second to fourth year, which move from a more general look at key issues to a deep dive into advanced topics, such as human medical research in developing nations, informed consent or classification of mental illness.
