"Caribbean youth, urban governance and the right to the city", a talk by Dr. Mullings, November 14 2013

Few studies look at how the most marginalized groups in society claim their rights to the city. Dr. Beverly Mullings will speak about how marginalized youth in Kingston, Jamaica and Montreal, Canada challenge how we think about creating common spaces for social and political action.

Dr. Mullings will be speaking on Thursday, November 14 2013 at 3:00-5:00 p.m. in Room 324 MW (Social Sciences Building). Her talk is entitled: 鈥淐aribbean Youth, Urban Governance and the Right to the City鈥.

Dr. Mullings is an Associate Professor in Geography at Queen鈥檚 University.  She is a key contributor to debates in feminist political economy, labour geographies and questions of social justice in the global South. 

This event is part of the department鈥檚 on-going lecture series.
