CTL Math and Statistics Support provides free seminars, workshops, virtual tutoring, individual appointments and small-group consultations to improve students’ proficiency in a variety of mathematics and statistics subjects. Our main goal is to create a friendly, vibrant environment in which all students can come to appreciate the beauty and utility of mathematics.

Math and Stats Support offers online support through Zoom and in-person hours. Please see the schedule below to meet with a teaching assistant (TA) during regularly scheduled office hours.

Mathematics is often required in first-year UofT Scarborough courses such as biology, chemistry, physics and statistics.
PLEASE NOTE – THIS MATH COURSE IS ONLY OFFERED TO REGISTERED UTSC STUDENTS
The Online Mathematics Preparedness Course is a short, intensive online program supervised by °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±½Ó¿Ú faculty that introduces the assignments, expectations and experiences that you will encounter in math courses. The Online Mathematics Preparedness Course can help you increase your confidence in preparation for university-level studies and make a more successful transition from high school to university. Students who receive 65% or higher in this non-credit course, can use it as a prerequisite for BIOA01H3, MATA29H3, MATA30H3 or MATA34H3 at UTSC.
Our aim is to present students with challenging questions, fostering a culture of critical thinking that equips them for the rigors of first-year calculus and algebra courses in the CMS department. In this way, this course serves as a highly engaging, interactive platform for immersive learning.
Registration for the Summer 2024 course will open on or before March 18th, 2024
We are glad you are interested in participating in the Online Mathematics Preparedness Course. To take this course, you will need to first "ENROLL HERE". (REGISTRATION IS NOW CLOSED) You will also need to complete the Pre-assessment multiple choice test for this course, which will be made accessible a few days before the beginning of the course. The result of your test would help us to better understand your needs. Please note that this test is mandatory for your registration in the course.
The course will run from July 29th - August 23rd, 2024
