Biography:
My primary research interests revolve around questions concerning intersubjectivity, personhood, and the effect being with others has on one’s awareness and self-consciousness. In recent years my work has more narrowly focused on these questions in Kant’s system. In particular, I focus on how the concept ‘person’, an idea of practical reason, can be exhibited in experience.
I am also interested in German Idealism more widely, continental philosophy—especially Sartre— Africana social and political philosophy, and philosophy of race.
