Wi-Fi and Network

UTSC Network Connectivity

The UTSC Network exists to support the mission and goals of the Campus and the University of Toronto.

Before any device is allowed to be connected to the UTSC Network, the 鈥溾 Policy from the Division of the Vice-President and Provost must be read and understood.  Inappropriate usage of information and communication technologies may result in suspension of service.

Only devices running supported operating systems or firmware capable of receiving regular security updates from their respective vendors will be allowed to connect to the UTSC Network.

Please note that routers, switches, hubs, splitters or any other means of extending the UTSC network are not permitted (only one device per network data port).

Wi-Fi 5 & 6 Coverage (UofT Wi-Fi Network)

Available throughout the campus, both UofT and Eduroam Wi-Fi networks offer high-speed connections and remain the easiest and most recommended method for internet connection within UTSC.

To ensure your device can connect to the campus Wi-Fi system, you need a compatible IEEE 802.11 wireless network adapter as well the adapter鈥檚 support of WPA2-Enterprise encryption.

Please contact helpdesk.utsc@utoronto.ca for recommended Wi-Fi adapters if your device doesn鈥檛 already have one.
