Chris Song
Biography
Chris Song鈥檚 research falls at the intersection of translation studies, modern literature in Chinese, and Hong Kong culture, with a focus on Chinese anthologies of American poetry. His scholarly research and creative publications have been supported by various funding sources, including the Social Science and Humanities Research Council (SSHRC) in Canada on a project about "Chinese Translation of Canadian Indigenous Literature." Song is the managing editor of Babel: International Journal of Translation (John Benjamins) with the appointment by the International Federation of Translators. His co-edited volume, The Bloomsbury Handbook of Modern Chinese Literature in Translation, was published in 2024. Song has published many volumes of Chinese-English literary translation and is also experienced in translating for international business projects, museums, galleries, and cultural festivals.
