Yiqing (Irene) Huang
Yiqing (Irene) Huang obtained her PhD in Computer Science from the University of Waterloo advised by Peter A. Forsyth. Before joining CMS, she taught undergraduate courses in the Cheriton school of computer science and Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Waterloo. She was a technical support team lead specialized in cloud computing products at IBM Platform Computing in Markham before her appointment with the University of Waterloo.
Irene鈥檚 teaching interests are in numerical methods for financial modeling, computer systems, operating systems, machine learning, numerical methods, and introductory computer science courses. Her research interests are in computational finance, machine learning in finance and computer science education.
