Arts & Science Co-op and Neuroscience student, Natalie Tam, completed a Co-op placement at the University Health Network’s (UHN) (Dementia Ageing Technology Engagement Lab) within the Toronto Rehabilitation Institute.
Finding and securing a placement can feel like a daunting task, however with UTSC's seamless recruitment process, flexible timelines, and assistance with administrative tasks and funding opportunities - the process supports both students and external partners find the right fit.

This job allowed me to participate in actual research compared with the ’hard’ knowledge gained from academic learning. I developed interpersonal skills as well as organizational and note-taking skills. These skills are transferrable and will definitely help me as I return to my classes.
